Paris, July 18, 2024French automaker Renault has reported a slight increase in sales for the first half of the year, selling 1.9% more vehicles than in the same period last year. A total of 1,154,700 units were sold, with nearly three-quarters of those in Europe.

The growth was driven in particular by strong demand for hybrid models in the European market, which accounted for 29.6% of sales in the region. Overall, sales in Europe rose by 6.7%.

The sales increase is good news for Renault, as it comes after four years of declining sales. The company is focusing on a value-driven strategy and on electrifying its fleet, which appears to be paying off.
