Warsaw, 9 September (FinanceFlashNews) – The unemployment rate in Poland held steady at 5% in August, according to estimates from the Ministry of Family, Labor, and Social Policy. If confirmed, this would represent one of the lowest levels of unemployment in more than three decades, following a similar 5% rate in July, which marked a slight increase from 4.9% in June.

This comes after Poland recorded its lowest unemployment rate since August 1990. Analysts surveyed by PAP also predict that the unemployment rate will stabilize at 5%.

According to tradingeconomics, Poland’s highest unemployment rate occurred in February 2003, when it reached 20.7%. In contrast, the lowest unemployment rate was registered in January 1990 at 0.3%.
