Social Media Bombards Us with Motivational Content, but It’s Not the Key to Success
In today’s world of social media, we are constantly bombarded with motivational content. Podcasts, books, and miracle speeches promise to help us achieve our goals, be happy, and live successful lives. But is motivation really the key to happiness and success?
The truth is that motivation is nothing more than a fleeting emotion and changes nothing. Motivation undoubtedly plays an important role in our lives, but it is not enough on its own!
Don’t confuse motivation with emotional support
Most people don’t know the difference between motivation and emotional support. Someone who is in a deep depression doesn’t need a motivational speech, but rather emotional support. Motivational speeches can provide energy due to the crowd effect, but that energy quickly dissipates.
Beware of some motivators who try to exploit vulnerable people and play psychologists. Their main goal is not your well-being, but rather their own profit. Be careful and critically perceive their advice and promises.
If you want to change something in your life, you have to take action!
Motivation in business – motivation and financial success are two different things.
It is important to understand that motivation and financial success are two different things. Many people confuse them and believe that if they attend all the motivational lectures, they will automatically be financially successful as well. However, motivation is more of an emotional aid to help us take the plunge into something new. But success requires not only inspiration, but also hard work, perseverance, and determination. Instead of listening to motivational speakers, I recommend listening to business professionals who have real experience in business.
Instead of reading motivational books about how to be happy from your morning coffee, we should rather spend more hours each day figuring out how to achieve our goals. Strategic planning, developing A, B, and C versions, and financial analysis – these are the keys to success.
If you are starting a business, try to answer questions like: How much money is needed to achieve the goal? How long will it take for my investment to pay off? What should my marketing budget be? What is my minimum expected income in the first few months?
It’s shocking that many entrepreneurs don’t have a clearly defined financial plan, but have time to read motivational books.
Conclusion – start taking action!
True success comes with setting your goals and then taking action. To achieve our goals, we need a plan and strategy that will take us step by step towards our objectives. A plan is important, but even more important is action. Ditch the motivational podcasts and start taking action! This is the only way to achieve your true goals and build a happy and successful life.
