Warsaw, August 26 (FinanceFlashNews.com)Poland’s unemployment rate edged up slightly in July, but it continues to hover at one of the lowest levels in over 30 years. According to data from the Polish statistical office (GUS), reported by PAP and tradingeconomics, the unemployment rate in July reached 5%, compared to 4.9% in June.

Although the unemployment rate increased, it fell short of economists’ expectations, who had predicted it would remain at 4.9%. This slight increase still means the unemployment rate is at one of the lowest levels since record-keeping began in 1990. June of this year marked the first month since August 1990 that unemployment in Poland dropped below 5%.
