Rome, April 17, 2024 – Irish low-cost airline Ryanair expects to receive 40 aircraft from US manufacturer Boeing by mid-July, CEO Michael O’Leary said on Wednesday.

This is another adjustment to the original plans, but not as significant this time. In March, Ryanair expected to receive 40 aircraft by the end of June, later correcting this number to 35 aircraft by the end of June and 5 in the first two weeks of July.

The original agreement between Ryanair and Boeing called for the delivery of 57 MAX 8200 aircraft by the end of April. However, due to ongoing crises and safety concerns with some Boeing models, the US manufacturer has had to postpone delivery dates and reduce the number of aircraft delivered.

In addition to aircraft deliveries, O’Leary also commented on the resumption of flights to Tel Aviv. Ryanair currently plans to resume flights on June 3, but may adjust this date again depending on the security situation.
